As a growing business firmly embedded in the fabric of Richmond-upon-Thames, it is very important to us that we are always giving back to the communities we have been fortunate enough to work with. We achieve this with multiple giving streams, and are always looking for new opportunities in this area.
Since our first day of trading, we have donated to The Honeypot Children’s Charity whose mission is to support young carers in the community with fun days and summer camps. More information about their work can be found at Honeypot, and we are proud to support their important efforts.
Much like most of our staff, our Founders, began their careers as an apprentices. As such, we recognise the importance of apprenticeships in career development and are supporting a number of apprentices through the early stages of their careers. We are keen to help the next generation of skilled tradespeople, and maintain a relationship with the Richmond upon Thames College.
The COVID-19 pandemic has also been a stark reminder of the hidden heroes who live and work in our community. By way of a small thank you to our NHS and healthcare workers, 0800 Homefix has offered a free emergency call-out service for them so that they have one less thing to worry about. We have also recently partnered with two British Army units’ resettlement services, and guarantee job interviews for suitably qualified veterans.
